The light bar works quite well and the webcam function is pretty good, but this bar is far from perfect. The microphone quality is noticeably worse than my older Logitech webcam, and I need to use a separate mic. For the webcam, a sliding cover would have been easier to use. As another review mentioned- the placement of the logo detracts from the sleek and minimalist product design.
Overall, not the greatest purchase.
I ordered the Illuminate USB-C Light Bar with 4K Autofocus Webcam (Space Grey) and was immediately disappointed when it arrived. The color shown on the website looks like a dark grey, almost black, but the unit I received was much lighter — so much so that I thought I had been sent the silver version by mistake. Customer support confirmed it was correct, but the photos online are misleading.
Setup was straightforward, but the bigger problem was the camera itself. Despite being marketed as 4K, the video quality is poor — grainy with inconsistent lighting that makes it look far worse than my older Logitech Brio 4K. I contacted support again, and their suggestion was to try third-party apps to “improve” the image. I did, but it didn’t make a meaningful difference.
While the build quality of the light bar feels solid and premium, the webcam performance is simply not up to the price point. Between the misleading product photos and the disappointing camera quality, I cannot recommend this product.
First unit had a faulty webcam and poor microphonr quality. ALogic exchanged it, second unit still has poor microphone audiot quality - during meetings people commenting it sounds muffled. Have resorted to using my laptop microphone.
Well all I can say is wow

The webcam doesn’t focus at all. I emailed and got someone to do a video call with me to show that show that it doesn’t work. They told me they’d get back to me within 24 hours but they didn’t. It took me emailing again and several days for them to arrange collection of the faulty item and then I’ll need to wait for a new one to be ordered. So, 2 weeks after delivery, I still don’t have a working item and won’t have one for at least another 2 weeks.
